Legacy
Most of the poems are about histories that are either erased or smudged by perspective and deliberate erasure. I start at slavery and pretty much stay with that and the indigenous footprint such as it is.
My name is Khadija Tracey Carmelita Heeger. I tell stories through poems. I have one published poetry collection.The latter was never a priority for me since I love to perform my work. I am less concerned with academic form as it pertains to poetry and more concerned with the spirit and message that the poems interpret and translate for me and hopefully you.
