Poetry Of The Body

In Praise of the miraculous human body – the poetry of our Poise & Presence – the Elegance of our form and Beauty of Movement – the Effortlessness in which we live and move and have our being. There is Meaning and Power in the way we use our Body-Gift.

POETS & POETRY – a Call for our EARTH

A CONSTELLATION OF POETS

A Constellation of Poets calling us through Poetry and Music to rightful connection with our Earth-home. A call to Stand Witness. To be Caretakers and Stewards. To be Awake. To bring our collective consciousness into service on behalf of Gaia.
Join us as we celebrate, praise, listen and value the living wonder that is our lifetime home in the universe.

My Great Fortune to have worked as an internationally qualified professional teacher of The Alexander Technique (27 yrs) and of Tai Chi/Qi Gong. This has led me on a Journey of Exploration, immersed in all that is healthful and soulful in body, mind and spirit, developing and integrating the rich and varied dimensions of our physical, thinking, emotional and spiritual aspects into a path to Intelligent, Conscious, Skilful Living.

Through private sessions, Workshops, Workshop-Retreats and Presentations throughout South Africa, my aim and work is to restore the body’s Poise & Balance, additionally teaching litheness, suppleness, groundedness, freedom. Presented ‘Natural, Conscious Walking’ workshops internationally in Switzerland and Ireland.

Two praise-poem books: ‘EVE-OLUTION – Enhancing Feminine Consciousness and Body Awareness’; ‘THE ART OF WALKING – Path to Health & the Richness of Well-Being’. The Journey continues: In our Honourable Order of Walkers, we take this conscious, intentional footprint of care into the landscape in WALKING SONGLINES.

Married to an accountant-turned-artist I am passionate about the arts, poetry, education and global environmental issues. We are determined travellers to unusual destinations and I enjoy excellent health, energy and fitness – play tennis twice a week (singles, with an 87 yr old opponent!), hike and continue a full working life in a small coastal village nestling between mountains and sea.
