Graham Dukas is a business consultant, corporate coach and part-time teaching assistant at UCT’s School of Architecture. His poetry explores territory that ranges from the serious to the absurd, often dismantling the familiar with a subversive wit and unexpected logic that transforms the mundane into hilarity. His poems have been published on the Stellenbosch University English Department’s online literary platform Slipnet (www.slipnet.co.za) and the online literary platform Aerodrome (www.aerodrome.co.za). His poems have also appeared in the European Union’s Sol Plaatje Poetry Anthologies 2 and 3 and in the poetry journals Carapace and Stanzas. He has published two chapbooks of poetry, A Cow’s Tale (2014) and Still Sailing (2015). This will be his fourth appearance at the McGregor Poetry Festival.
